
Having founded the Journey Advisory Group in 2013, Tyler serves as the firm’s CEO focused on the delivery of exemplary investment management and financial planning services to JAG’s clients nationwide. Prior to establishing Journey Advisory Group, Tyler served clients in multiple capacities as a Portfolio Manager, Investment Research Analyst and Financial Advisor for various financial service companies. With experience working in both large and small organizations, with private client groups, high net worth individuals and families as well as foundations, institutions, and endowments, Tyler believes that the direct partnership model of Journey that permits Advisors to work one-on-one with clients building custom solutions designed around their goals and objectives is ideal.
Tyler grew up in Southern California where he developed his passion for outdoor sports and cooking. He earned a BA from Duke University where he studied Public Policy, Economics and German. Tyler also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designations. Tyler is also currently enrolled in the Columbia Business School Advanced Management Program.
Tyler is active in the community as a volunteer coach, a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Goering Center for family and private businesses, and Aileron. He is a member of The Young Presidents Club (YPO) and the Global One Chapter.
Tyler is married to Lori, and together they have five children. Tyler’s hobbies include coaching, rock climbing, reading, cooking, and spending time with his family.
